Terms of Use
What Tide It provides, what you can expect from it — and what it does not replace.
Last updated: July 8, 2026
1.Acceptance
By downloading and using the Tide It application, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
2.The service
Tide It provides, for information purposes, tide, weather and marine conditions for ports and spots worldwide:
- tide times, heights and coefficients computed by harmonic analysis from constants published by official hydrographic offices;
- weather conditions (Apple Weather / WeatherKit) and marine conditions;
- real-time wind measured by third-party station networks (see section 5);
- outing windows ("GO") and activity ratings computed against your own criteria, purely indicative.
3.Premium subscription
Tide It offers an auto-renewing Premium subscription, monthly or yearly. The price is shown in the app at purchase time and charged to your Apple account upon confirmation.
- The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24h before the end of the current period; renewal is charged within the 24h preceding expiry.
- Manage and cancel: iOS Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions, after purchase.
- Free month: on first install, Premium access is offered for 1 month, with no commitment and no payment method. When this period ends, the app automatically returns to the free tier unless you voluntarily subscribe. This offer applies once and does not affect existing subscribers.
4.Limitation of liability
Tide It cannot be held liable for decisions made based on the displayed information. Activity ratings and windows are algorithmic estimates and in no way constitute safety advice. For any water activity, consult official sources and local authorities, and match your practice to your level.
5.Intellectual property and third-party data
The Tide It application, its design, code and content are protected by copyright. Weather data is provided by Apple Weather (WeatherKit). Tides are computed from harmonic constants published by official hydrographic offices.
Real-time wind and sea data come from third-party networks and services: Open-Meteo, Pioupiou / OpenWindMap (CC-BY license), winds.mobi, METAR observations and NDBC buoys from NOAA, and Weameter. They are provided "as is", with no guarantee of availability or accuracy, and remain the property of their respective providers.
6.Personal data
How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy. In short: no account, no collection, no tracking.
7.Changes
These terms may be modified at any time; changes take effect upon publication on this page or in the application.
8.Contact
Any question: tideitapp@icloud.com — or via the support page.
9.Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the competent courts.
